This is the group talked about in the original ANTI troll PM. Again, the corny title is just for the development stage! 
Please keep tabs on this group. If you would like to be known as a "Contributor" to the Michael Jackson Connections Project (MJCP), go to your Profile, click the groups tab, and join the 'MJCP Contributor' group. The rank/group name underneath your username should then be changed to that. If it is not, you can change your displayed group in your Settings or I can change it for you.
Okay, here we go...
Purpose
The purpose of this group project is to create and provide a resource for the general public on those who have been connected to Michael Jackson, and played a role in his life, positive, negative, or even neutral. Some example of names are David Geffen, Oprah Winfrey, Harvey Weinstein, Wade Robson, John Branca, Elizabeth Taylor, and others.
Resources Provided
While it is not set in stone, the goal of this group is to provide an easy-to-read source, possibly in multi-media formats (blog, image map, video, PDF, etc.) for people who are and are not fans of Michael Jackson and may be unfamiliar with the people around and behind him. Because of this, I must ask all who participate in this project to approach it with the viewpoint of a teacher. Not everyone in this group may be familiar with certain names, the history each person had with Michael at large or behind the scenes, etc. (This includes me.)
The Setup
In theory, I would like whatever media platform we use as the base (blog or image map) to name each person connected to Michael and have a "cliff notes"/easy-to-read version of their connection to him. Full articles are optional. It is important that we include source links for verifiable information, and use the term "alleged" when necessary.
Once this is all done, we may be able to use and spread this resource around the Internet to aid in further protecting and clearing Michael's name and legacy.
Roles
We are in the development stage so the main focus in the beginning will be on brainstorming the layout/functioning of the base project media (blog or image map), and creating a compiled list of people associated with Michael in the ways mentioned above. Everyone who takes part will be credited as a Contributor. In the future we may need writers and website/media managers (site maintenance, mostly in terms of updating info, possibly managing comments, etc.).
Notes
There aren't any necessary "rules" besides: be amicable, as unbiased as possible (I know this will be hard when we begin to speak on certain people), and provide source links to back up your ideas whenever possible. This is more so that those of us who are new to learning about certain aspects in Michael's life can learn more.
Now...Let's begin!
I think we should start by making a list of people associated with Michael. Once this is "done" we can begin talking about those connections more specifically in separate threads for each person.
